The Short Term Missions (STM) program at WCPRES is an integral part of our ministry. Working with global partners, our mission teams strive to reach, help, and make a positive contribution to ministries around the world. Through the short term missions program we hope to:
- educate people about Missions, in general; and
- provide an opportunity for team members and the church to explore and make long-term ministry choices;
- help people grow as they trust God to walk with them through new and unfamiliar experiences;
- positively impact the people and ministries each team visits and serves with during the course of the trip;
- provide ways for team members to develop deeper relationships with other members of the WCPC congregation;
- engage the attention, encouragement, and support of the congregation.
Serving on a short term mission team can be very rewarding – both to the person serving and the ministry field being served. Below are the current short term mission trips sponsored by WCPC.
Arizona: Naomi – Improving a home for abused and neglected native American children
China: Teaching at a summer English camp
Costa Rica: Roblealto – Construction and renovation of group foster homes
India: Caring for children at an orphanage
Mexico: Vacation Bible School and/or home construction
